SYRIC is an original character who has been in development since 2015. the concept of his story pulls inspiration from various sources of media that i love and admire. this includes but is not limited to : nier automata, blade runner, devilman, and berserk. i'd like to think that he is a pretty unique character. he is very special to me. please do not copy from me.002. DUE TO THE COMPLEXITIES of his character i operate largely on meaningful plots and dynamics. it is difficult for me to wing things with his character, but i will try. i can be flexible with verses. i ask that you put equal effort into plotting with me. i will give it my all! with that said i am also open to dynamics of any kind. just ask!003. founded by lucian kessler, YEON (pronounced e-on) is an advanced biomedical engineering organization specializing in the production of artificial life using ai. yeon is the largest and wealthiest corporation in the world and can be found in many facets of daily life across the globe for various purposes using yeon technology. yeon also owns the only consciousness database in the world where they successfully maintain archives of millions of peoples consciousnesses and use them to further train and advance their ai technology. after lucian's passing yeon was taken over by his long time apprentice DIAZYON.WIP
ACT I ⁄ prior to the genesis event, this is the first act of syrics story. set in a dystopian, ai operated city on the brink of collapse. YEON CORPORATIONS, an advanced biomedical engineering organization, has made it commonplace for humans to have artificial components such as reconstructed skeletal work, artificial organs, and neural ports for various purposes. at birth parents have the option to have a chip implanted in their child's brain which maintains constant records of their memories and consciousness in a database owned by yeon. in a world losing their grip with god, this is a tempting service for many parents who struggle to see an afterlife. this service is free, however yeon reserves the right to use copies of your consciousness to further their project mission and continue to train their artificial intelligence models.
GENESIS ⁄ first light, the white dawn, or simply 'genesis', was an apocalyptic, 'black hole' event shrouded in secrecy. unleashed by yeon during one of many top secret experiments, this disaster caused almost all of the city to be consumed and destroyed by a vast vortex of light. it is later speculated that this was done intentionally as a reset for yeon to rebuild a new earth.
ACT II ⁄ hundreds or thousands of years after the genesis event, syric awakens in an yeon facility with no memories or recollection of his past. there he discovers he is a R.E.L.I.C. ( Replicant Emulation of Living Integrated Consciousness ). often colloquially referred to as angels, relics are militaristic bio-engineered superhumans employed to perform missions that protect human villagers from rogue ai-forms that are created as a result of earth's unstable astral plane following the genesis event. some people look upon relics as protectors, while others associate them with yeon and treat them with hostility due to their perceived role in the disruption of humanity.
